Fandom: Warehouse 13
Spoilers: Everything through the Season 4 premier. If you haven't watched it, prepare to be spoiled!
Post-Ep fic for "A New Hope" - because we all know HG and Myka went straight back to the B&B after they saved the Warehouse.
Leena didn’t keep alcohol on display in the B&B out of respect for Pete, but Myka knew where the innkeeper kept a secret stash for ‘necessities.’ Necessities in Leena’s mind meaning one of two things: top shelf for visitors and something slightly less than grain alcohol for those nights when someone needed to forget, well, everything.
Myka grabbed the bottle of twenty-one year old Bushmills and two glasses. She poured a hefty dose into each glass and set the bottle on the table between her and Helena.

Helen slides naked from bed and shrugs into her black satin robe.
At the Sanctuary, the old Sanctuary, she never would have been able to get away with walking around in such a flimsy garment with winter right around the corner. The old Sanctuary, despite fireplaces in nearly every room and a state of the art HVAC system, was still vulnerable to a draft that left a person chilled to the bone. But in this new Sanctuary, the levels that weren't hermetically sealed to control the environment had been built with the top of the line climate control systems that kept the temperature easily within one degree of optimal.
It made getting up from bed for a midnight snack far more comfortable, but Helen was British to the core, and she missed the bracing rush of icy-cold flagstone beneath her feet every once in a while.

Downstairs Henry and Nikola are finishing up the last bits of code and programming needed to thwart SCIU's deadly efforts. She walks in just as they confirm shut down of the grid and the death fence, but before she can leave to meet Will at the evacuation, Henry calls her back.
"Someone's at the front gate."
Would they dare, she wonders. Would SCIU come to her home and try to arrest her?

The look on Charlotte's face when Helen shows her the Sanctuary is priceless. The younger woman simply stares in awe and for a moment Helen can forget the imminent danger to bask in her delight at this revelation. Finally, Charlotte just shakes her head and smiles in wonder. "This place must be hell to heat in the winter."

Before Helen had hired Will to work at the Sanctuary she hadn't exactly been helpless. Ashley was a capable assistant although she tacked toward the combat aspect of the job far more than the technical or scientific aspects. Around the world in her network of sanctuaries there were doctors, scientists, administrators, all of whom she had worked with, trained, mentored, and respected. It wasn't as if she'd needed Will.… she'd wanted him.

She waits. She builds. She hacks into government websites and her own Sanctuary network and follows along in real time, trying to get a sense of the bigger picture. The grander chess match at work. When the time finally comes for her to reveal herself, she simply walks back through the door.

Helen goes to Nepal at first for what James describes as "the most well deserved vacation in the history of vacations." She stays for three months, not exactly adhering to the Buddhist principles, but meditating and reflecting in her own way. She writes her autobiography - or at least a loose chronology of people and places she will have to avoid. She makes a list of all the things she missed, all the things she always said she'd "get to" and never found the time. All the things that passed her by while she was busy saving the world the first time around.
She has one hundred and thirteen years. It's time to start checking things off the list.
